on saturday 15th, vito, chris and i were in selly oak trying to find an abandoned hospital i'd spotted in loads of youtube videos. we had a little look at the site but there were workers dotted around every bit, fences everywhere and cctv and security signs all over the place. there was absolutely no way in at this point so we decided we would go and explore an abandoned house in beoley instead.
before we went, we went into birmingham city centre to look in vintage clothes shops. i have been in these shops many times before but i am usually too picky to buy many things from them. despite having more money than usual this month, i was still trying to find a nice jacket with a small budget and was aiming to keep below £25/£30. the first place we visited was cow in digbeth. i've visited cow many many times before and i bought a sweatshirt from there about a year ago and i go every few weeks to look for more clothes. the jacket i picked up is labelled inside as being a "field coat". many others similar in style were around £60 and they did look a bit better but i picked up one of these coats for just £16 which was a coup and a bloody steal for me, as similar ones were so much more.

since i've matured, i've learnt that brands and labels mean jack shit. you can make outfits for such a small amount of money if you look in the right places. i've been in my hometown stratford searching in charity shops for a few weeks and i've seen so many tees and sweats i like the look of - only a matter of time until i find some in my size.
the jacket is a L which limits the number of outfits/looks i can team it with. but for autumn it will be a good look with a tee, jeans and boots or chunky trainers i reckon.
last saturday, vito and i went to tgfbro's pop up store in digbeth. it was a pretty sick day - cheers to the guys for my "cereal bar" t shirt. jay swingler even signed "beef curtains" on the back of it for me.
